Home alone

Yesterday afternoon, I had a wedge section cut out of my right big toe because of an in-grown toenail. I must admit that I was quite nervous before the procedure and am now quite sore afterwards.

So here I am in the lounge room. The coffee table straddling the mattress that I am half sitting-half lying upon. Bean bags and pillows supporting my back and several pillows under my foot to keep it elevated. Fun times. Sharlene and boys are still up in Mackay, although they are coming home today (spare a pitying thought for her travelling with a toddler and a 4 month old) and will be here sometime between 7 and 8 tonight. I am glad that I am alone though. I can't even begin to imagine the scope of horror that Zemiel would inflict on me if he were present!

Yet, since my last blog entry, we've been to Big Camp, been visited by Trev and Roni (thanks guys), and travelled to Mackay to attend a reunion. And now, I have a full day with no excuses as to why I should not be able to catch you up with all that has been going on. But instead of putting everything on at once, and making one mega-entry. I plan to create several smaller posts with photos and upload them over the next couple of days. Here goes...

Before camp, we had some fun with Zemmy. He has become interested in 'lines' and has done some artwork that he called 'Worms'. So we got some worms from our worm farm to give him some hands-on experience...

Another something that I have failed to document was the dust storm that went through on the 23rd September...

Alright. We'll leave it there for now and leave some more for tomorrow.

PS. THIS IS THE 100TH POST FOR THIS BLOG.
WOO HOO!
