Big shoes to fill

In a way, I think Sharlene and Adrian have never grown up. Take these photos for example. They still want to dress something - it's just that they have moved from doll babies to real babies. In any case, Zem seemed to love it.

Another car

We've finally bought and recieved our new (not-so-new) car. It is a 2001, Subaru Liberty. Much bigger than our previous car, and we are pretty happy with it at the moment. Hopefully, that sentiment will last. Here is a pic that Sharlene took this morning, just so you know what it looks like.



Sharlene made an observation some time ago, that when we had our little blue Mira, a white car hit us - and our next car was white. A silver car hit our white car - and our next car is silver...any guesses as to what the next colour might be?

Puppy play

Zem had an opportunity a few weeks ago to play with some Jack Russell puppies that our next door neighbours had for a short time before they were sold. He loved it! He would sign 'dog' each time he looked at them. Some were a little boisterous and gave him a shock or two but generally a great experience! Here are some photos...

Second MRI and second-hand car...

Zem has had his second MRI in preparation for his cochlear implants. The whole thing was over in 40 minutes (with more time for recovery). He went in about 9ish and we left the hospital about 12:00. We now are waiting for December 8th, when he will have the implants put in.

After the MRI, Sharlene and I drove to Adrian's place where he met us and we went down Parramatta Road (where there are scores of used car dealerships). After spending several hours wandering and discussing, Shar and I agreed on a 2001 Subaru Liberty. We put down the deposit and Sharlene will pick it up Wednesday or Thursday, next week.
