Ice Skating

Early in January, we got some tickets to the Mackay Entertainment Centre to go ice skating. The event was funded for children with disabilities and their families. Go Zemmy! So off we went and had a fantastic time! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Okay, here are our excited boys! Just thrilled to be doing something different. They actually surprised me with how well they walked in the ice skates. Especially Zemmy. He had no trouble balancing.

Zekiah wasn't so impressed with his skates and even less impressed that mum wouldn't carry him.

Zemiel quickly found something to use to help him stay upright on the ice. Couldn't wipe that smile off!

Azariah also eventually managed to get a penguin and tried a lap or two around the ice rink. It was all fun and games until he realised that his legs were getting further and further apart and he didn't know how to bring them back!

Sharlene eventually took the pram on the ice with Zekai and Liana-Rose.

Meanwhile, Azariah and Zemiel had found the snowball making (and throwing) area and were very busy learning how to make good, solid snowballs.

Both boys caught on fast. Here Zemmy is warming his fingers after making and launching a snowball, while Riah is just winding up.

Even Zekiah got in on the action.

Ultimately, a very satisfying evening. We absolutely loved the family time together and what a great experience for the boys! I hope they don't forget.
