Mad May

May has to be the busiest, the craziest, the zaniest, the baddest, and the maddest month of the year. Besides yours truely having a birthday party, we've been to other parties, weddings, celebrated mother's day, begun school reports and participated in a 4 weekend Auslan course! Time for a break! Oh...and Sharlene is now 34 weeks pregnant. Not only this but the weather has turned cold and our hot water booster doesn't want to work when we want it to.

The boy is making more sounds and even has his first word..."round" (when he traces circles).

It has been quite wet of late which makes riding my bike interesting. I've had 2 flat tyres in the past fortnight. Once, I had to walk the bike about 3km in the pouring rain to get to school.

Black Cockatoo

You may remember that a while ago we went to Taronga Zoo with Sharlene's family. One of our favourite events was the bird show. At the very end, a number of black cockatoos were released to fly over us and I tried to capture a few with the camera. It wasn't easy as they were flying quite quickly. On one of the photos, I had almost gotten the bird all in the frame, except for the tip of it's wing. With thanks to photo shop, the wing is now repaired, and the bird centered. Let me know what you think.
