Memory anyone?

This way for one of Zem's favourite games. Not surprising really, anything with a train will automatically get Zemmy's vote.

Garage Sales and Missed Trains

Wow! Thank you Chloe and Sharnaye for your help on Saturday night and for sharing the day with us. Ben and Becky, Sue and Glynn thanks also for you company. It was an interesting first experience as a sale. People say that you learn a lot from your first. Although most of our big stuff remains, perhaps it is God's plan for us to sell it in a different way.

Oh, and something interesting that happened today. I missed the train for the first time and Sharlene ended up having to drive me down to the school. At school, I found out that the train I missed may have been delayed due to a breakdown of a freight train. Even with Sharlene driving me, I probably got to school earlier than I would have - (which was important because I had an excursion to go on today). Coincidence? I don't think so. Praise God for his mercy.

The many faces of Azariah - master of expression

So, Sharlene, like, got my camera, like, and like, decided to take some photos of Azzy, like. And as a result, she like, got some fantastic pictures that like, are just totally awesome! But, like, in each one he seems to be like, saying something. Like, guess what's in my nappy! or like, who are you again? like, mega fantastic! So, like, here they are and like, if you like them, then like, let us know.

"So tell me, who are you again?"

"Giddyup! Crocodillygator!"

"Quick mum! Get the rope! I'll hold him down!"

"I think I dropped something. Could you pick it up for me?"

"Look! Up there in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it Zemmy coming to beat me up again?"

"Looks like mine don't just happen everyday. Note my high brow; My chiseled jaw line..."

"I'm sooo not impressed."

"I think I recognise you from before."

"I'm still working on my 'Magnum' look."

"Just you wait until I am a teenager!"

Zemmy Turns Two

Zem is now two, and we celebrated down at Cooranbong park with cupcakes, hot chips and some friends. Thank you to Jonathan, Marlene and family, Lillia and Isabella, Bec C, Bec G, Sue, Adrian, and Lynda for coming along. We loved having your company!

Here's a view of Zemmy's cake (or cakes as it might be more adequately described).

This is Zemmy on his new tricycle.

You can see Charlie here, and we think it might be Zemmy underneath all the chocolate.

Uncle Adrian and the birthday boy.

"Catch me -if you can!!"

Oh...and we are still eating the cup cakes a week later.

Zemmy's method of eating them involved licking off the icing and then licking the cupcake itself until it either dissolved, or oozed out between his fingers...whichever came first.

Raspberries...

It has been a huge week. Central Coast Adventist School put on their production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. It ran for three nights: Tuesday through to Thursday. My year 2 class had a role to play on Thursday night and then sat stage side for the rest of the performance. Zemiel stayed with me throughout and was good for most of the time. He loved the lights and feeling the vibration of the stage as the students danced and sang. Sharlene came down and sat in the audience with Azariah.

That same day, Zem had done some paintings with Tracy at the RIDBC. He made them using cotton wool ear buds dipped in colour. He called the paintings 'Worms' and 'More worms'. I'm impressed - not so much with the art, but that he named them. They are keepers in any case.

Azzy is now 6 and a half kilograms. He was measured when Sharlene visited the Child Health Nurse today. He has begun to get interested in the mobile that hangs above his cot.

Finally, here is some footage that Sharlene captured. Zemmy has never repeated it so it may be a unique event. Zem and Az are in the bath. Chloe and Sharnaye are helping Sharlene bath the boys when Zem starts to blow raspberries. What's so special? Well, just think that Zemmy can't hear the sound, but only feel the vibrations of what he is doing. Besides that, it is funny to see how much fun Zem is having and how unamused Az is.

Zem turns 2 years old tomorrow, so it is sure to be a big weekend as well.

Fathers Day #2

Breakfast in bed, spending the day with family and friends, half a game of Settlers...what more can a red-blooded man want? Okay...maybe a full game next time, and some heavy duty tool gear (preferably something that needs petrol to run), but otherwise it was a fantastic day. Thank-you Ben and Bec for inviting us and giving the game a go. Hope you liked it.

Now, I haven't put up any photos recently. So I'm going to try and catch you up a little. First of all, some pics of Az at the 2 month mark. Mum came down recently and I got to have a peep at some of my baby photos and it is scary just how similar Azariah is to how I looked at his age, only he is a bit skinnier.
This is Sharnaye with Azzy. Sharnaye comes over on Mondays for a Bible study.

A closer look at Azzy.

And another one...

Alright, now some photos of Zemmy over the last month before he turns 2.

Cheeky...

A lion puppet? Awestruck!

Right, now a catchup series of photos would not be complete without some showing how Zem and Az are getting on...
"Really mum, he likes it!"

Brothers?

Let us not forget Grandma's visit! Here is Grandma with Zemmy.

Malcolm with Zem.

Grandma and the boys.

Finally, a peek at who, what and where on Father's Day...
What a match! Ben Ashby and Az.

The boys...

Our family of four...

Ben and Zemmy. Less than 3 months until Ben has his own little one.
