Zem's at the 8 months mark and we've been busy - caught up with all the practical issues of life: School, marking, more marking, reporting, bathing, feeding, sleeping... Apologies for the silence on our end. I anticipate that we will be making more frequent posts in the near future.
Sharlene is currently up in Queensland visiting family. I'm still back here in NSW trying to keep some semblance of order to the house in her absence. (The washing is fine, but the dishes and the ironing are not).
Also, in her absence, (and I hope she will not read this until she returns) I have undertaken the HUGE task of trying to finish off the back and front yards before her return. So far I have moved 4m of top soil from the top of the hill around to the back of the house and have almost finished wiring up the chook pen. All that remains is to seed some grass, which I will do towards the end of this week. I don't think that it will actually get finished but the sense of urgency makes it all quite fun.
Before...
After...
This is our front yard before we extended our wall.
This is our front yard with our extended wall and with our slab chipped away for drainage...which is currently a moat due to all the rain.
Zem's next big thing is a meeting in Sydney on June the 5th. We will be hoping to find out definitively if a cochlear implant for his left ear is feasible or not. Our future decisions for where we live and work could be based on this meeting.
Love to hear from you. Thank you so much for your comments. Keep visiting.
Daniel.
